Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce is delighted to be supporting the Hertfordshire Growth Hub with their Peer Networks initiative for a second year. This nationwide programme is free for all participating companies and will provide support to local businesses during this challenging period of recovery and growth.

The objectives are to share best practices with like-minded businesses and discuss a range of topics via a series of action learning sessions.

These include:

  • Finance
  • HR
  • Sales and Marketing
  • Adjusting to social distancing
  • Business Model Innovation
  • Change Management
  • Embedding formal management processes and systems
  • Digital (including adoption and implementation of technology, cybersecurity)
  • Use of data to drive value in the business
  • EU transition
  • Export and Importing

Led by an experienced facilitator these Peer Networks will meet fortnightly for two-hour sessions over 18 weeks. We aim to commence around the 31st of August. Each company will also receive an additional complimentary 3.5 hours of coaching in a one-to-one session with the facilitator to discuss their own business needs.

Active involvement in the Peer Network is designed to enhance the leadership capabilities, knowledge, and confidence of business owners within a local region. It will help build local connectivity and strength within the SME business community.

The criteria to qualify for the programme is that the company must be:

  • One + year old
  • Have a minimum of five employees
  • Have a turnover of £100,000
  • Demonstrate aspirations to grow the company

Here is what some of our Previous Participants had to Say:

Jamie Sukroo – Lean Caffeine Ltd ‘The P2P sessions have been immensely valuable as I have learned from others in the group, and it has enabled me to focus on key areas within the business. The process of sharing an issue makes it smaller and the breadth of experience in the group means many different perspectives are bought to bear on the issue. Highly recommended.

Fiona Edwards JPA ‘The 121 sessions have been relentless in asking about what, when, where, how, and why of our business – focusing on specifics, identifying challenges, putting plans in place, establishing how we can measure, review, change and improve.’
